Mario Alfredo Pacheco pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Alameda County Superior Court in Oakland to practicing dentistry without a license, creating a risk of harm, inflicting great bodily injury and unlawfully administering an anesthetic to assist in the commission of a felony. Pacheco, whose age was not given, had been practicing dentistry in an office on Grand Avenue, where he accepted cash only from mostly low-income patients from 2006 to 2009, when police and investigators with the Dental Board of California raided the business, authorities said.
