The IADS/YDW 60th Annual Congress (Turkey – Italy) Organizing Committee is inviting with immense pleasure, the dental students and young dentists all over the world. The event has a special trait, as the activities are organized for the first time in the history of IADS in two different cities – Istanbul (Turkey – August 27th – 31st) and Bari-Foggia (Italy – September 1st – 4th).
The decision was taken by the IADS General Assembly during the Annual Meeting – Romania 2012, due to the great candidacies in terms of proposed activities of the both countries. The 1st part of the Congress will be organized in cooperation with the FDI World Dental Federation 101st Annual Meeting in Istanbul (Turkey), while the Italy part will have the support of the IADR-CED Annual Congress in Florence.
IADS Annual Congress part 1 – Turkey (August 27th – 31st) – in cooperation with FDI World Dental Federation’s 101th Annual Meeting
The Turkish Organizing Committee, with the leadership of Amir Mamusha, Görkem Şengün, Sina Saygılı and the TURKDENTSIC President – Mehmet Yildiz, will manage a rich scientific and educational program which awaits the most talented dental students all over the world. The attendants will have the opportunity to attend and be taught within the Professor Lectures included in the FDI World Dental Federation’ Annual Meeting educational program, and to participate at the IADS 10th Lecture Contest which will gather together the young dental student researchers who wish their work to be appreciated and rewarded.
The 1st International Dental Olympics will be hold on the second day, having dental students from all the corners of the world forming teams and getting in a competition based on theoretical and practical skills in dentistry.
The IADS National/Local officials will gather together within Committee Meetings Part 1, where matters concerning educational international projects would be addressed and settled. An IADS Anniversary Ball will be organized in order to gather together IADS Legends and Leaders which have marked the history of the organization since the dawn of it’s inception. The first part of the IADS Annual Meeting will end up with a rich social program and boat trip within the Bosporus strait which unites both the continents of Asia and Europe, as friendship and leadership unites all the dental students over the world within IADS.
IADS/YDW Annual Meeting Part 2 – Italy (September 1st – 4th) – in cooperation with IADR Continental European Division’s Annual Meeting
The 2nd part of the IADS Annual Meeting will take place within the historic lands of Caesar and of the birthplace of the mighty Roman Empire – Italy. The Associazione Italiana Studenti di Odontoiatria represented by Gaetano Illuzzi, Paolo Gallesi, Giovanni Giannatempo and the AISO President – Marioantonietta Arrica invites the participants to attend a diverse program, which will serve both the educational, social goals of dental students and young dentists.
The IADS National Delegates will gather together to represent their countries within the IADS General Assembly and Committees Part 2, in order to serve the interests of the dental students they represent and set up the new policies, course of action of IADS for the following years ahead. The young dentists will meet in the Young Dentists Worldwide sessions and educational program. The dental students’ thirst for science and education will be met by the International and Italian Lecturers who will speak and teach in various fields of Dentistry. The students will also have the opportunity to attend the IADR Continental European Division’s Annual Meeting in Florence, in order to be deepened within the research and wisdom of dentistry advances.
A social program composed of salsa lessons, spending the evenings on the shore of the Adriatic Sea where the hotel is situated will help create friendship bonds, celebrating the successful existence of the International Association of Dental Students.
