The Peninsula Dental School showed its commitment to producing home grown dentists when two of its students returned to their school, Liskeard Community College, to talk to pupils about their experiences. Dental students Katy Rowe and Jamie Robins, both former pupils of Liskeard Community College, explained how they had prepared themselves for a career in dentistry. Katy, who is a first-year student at the Peninsula Dental School, said: ‘The education I received at Liskeard prepared me for my first degree which I am now using to develop a really rewarding and challenging career in dentistry. On this visit I wanted to do more for my old school by encouraging its sixth-formers to think about dentistry as a career.’
