The University of Rochester Medical Center’s Friends of Strong Council has awarded $27,500 to the Department of Dentistry for digital imaging equipment. “We are delighted to accept this generous gift,” said Lee Pollan, D.M.D., M.S, chair of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. “This equipment provides many benefits to our patients, most significantly reduced radiation exposure, compared to traditional x-rays. We greatly appreciate the wonderful support from the Friends of Strong to enhance patient care.” The Friends of Strong Council has been a steadfast supporter of the Department of Dentistry, and has donated funds each year, allowing the department to update current equipment and purchase state of the art technologies to enhance and improve patient care.
